There's no single product called a motorized shade. Motorization is an operating system that replaces the lift cord or tilt wand with a quiet motor hidden in the headrail or roller tube, and it can be added to nearly everything we install — roller shades, honeycomb shades, solar shades, roman shades, wood and faux wood blinds, and shutters with a compatible tilt mechanism.
You still pick the fabric, opacity, and style you want first. Motorization is the layer you add on top, for the windows where reaching a cord or wand is inconvenient or impossible.
