Wood shutters are made from real hardwood and are best suited for dry, climate-controlled rooms like living rooms and dining rooms. Faux wood (poly) shutters are made from solid PVC with aluminum reinforcement — completely moisture-resistant, termite-proof, and offering the industry's best heat-blocking performance at 44% heat transfer reduction. For The Woodlands' humid Texas climate, we typically recommend faux wood for most applications.

We offer 2.5", 3.5", and 4.5" louver sizes. Smaller louvers (2.5") give a more traditional look. Medium louvers (3.5") are the most popular and work with almost any decor. Larger louvers (4.5") provide a contemporary look and the best view-through when open. Our consultant will bring samples of each size so you can see exactly how they look in your windows before deciding.

Our design consultant comes to your home at a time that's convenient for you. They measure every window precisely, show you product samples in your actual space, discuss the pros and cons of different options for your specific situation, and provide a written exact quote before they leave. The whole process typically takes 45 minutes to an hour depending on the number of windows.

After your in-home measurement and order confirmation, products are custom built and typically ready for installation within 3 to 5 weeks. We'll schedule your installation appointment as soon as your order arrives, and our team handles everything from start to finish.

Most whole-home installations are completed in just a few hours. Our installers are professional, respectful of your home, and clean up completely before they leave.

Just make sure the windows and surrounding area are accessible. Our installers bring all the tools and hardware they need. You don't need to take down existing blinds or curtains beforehand — our team handles removal of old window treatments as part of the installation process.

Our limited lifetime warranty covers manufacturer's defects. If a louver warps, a tilt rod breaks, or a mechanism fails under normal use, we will repair or replace it at no charge. The warranty applies for as long as you own the product in your home.

We don't leave until you are completely satisfied. If something isn't right — a shutter isn't level, a shade doesn't operate smoothly, or a fit isn't perfect — we fix it before we leave. And if any issue arises after installation, call us and we'll make it right. Your satisfaction is our reputation.

Faux wood shutters can be wiped with a damp cloth or mild soap and water. Real wood shutters should be dusted regularly and wiped with a slightly damp cloth — avoid excess moisture. Most shades can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth or vacuumed with a brush attachment. We provide care instructions with every installation.
